Sadly the days when air travel was glamorous are long gone, now we just want to get to our destination the less time between take off and the first frosty Margarita sipped slowly while we recline in a lounge chair on the beach the better, especially if we are going to a luxury rental villa and know that from the moment the door opens and the staff are waiting to greet us that we can relax and know that all the details will be taken care of from meals to activities. That is the attraction of renting a private villa and surprisingly it is often less expensive then staying in a good hotel, especially considering you are only paying the cost of the food and beverages consumed. I recently went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel – considered an upscale but perhaps holder hotel not as upscale as the Belagio Hotel nor as trendy as the Cosmopolitan Hotel but still considered one of the better hotels in Las Vegas . The level of service was pleasant but very impersonal and there were no charming details in the room. Most private rental villas put fresh flowers and have a complimentary arrival welcome snack of Margaritas, guacamole and salsa with chips so from the moment you arrive you feel pampered.
