Puerto Vallarta . The Restaurant Week and first annual Buganvilla Festival are in full swing and the streets are decorated and restaurants are offering amazing special menus at special low prices. If you have never been in Puerto Vallarta for Restaurant week this is what you are missing.
At a one of my favorite restaurants, VITEA check out the Restaurant week menu on their Vitea Blog– the casual Bistro style waterfront restaurant by the owners and Chefs of Trio in downtown Puerto Vallarta and now Sandzibar in La Cruz near Punta Mita. Thank you to Bernard Guth and Ulf Henriksson the 2 gifted and very hard working Chef’s who make these restaurants such a success. I will be enjoying a belated Birthday dinner at Vitea and cannot wait to have the special appetizer everyone is raving about.
A couple other restaurants getting rave reviews are Daquiri Dicks, River Café and La Palapa. Of course no discussion about gourmet restaurants is complete without mentioning the icon of gourmet tradition in Puerto Vallarta, Café des Artistes with chef owner Thierry Blouet’s famous style and energy giving you the following Restaurant Menu for only $299 pesos or about $25 USD starting with Beef Carpaccio and finishing with a Crème Brulee infused with the essence of Jasmine Tea. Are you ready to order?
