Foodies love Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta Restaurant week is a foodies dream from May 15–31, when most of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta offer special menus and the long time menu favorites for up to half the normal price. This special event was a brain wave of Vallarta Lifestyles Magazine in 2005 and each year has gained momentum and strength. Restaurant Week is a wonderful opportunity to visit all your favorite restaurants and try something new as well. With 3 course meals at two price points, $189 or $299 these incredible values plus the fun of the event it is obviously a popular time.
This year The Puerto Vallarta Buganbilia Festival is coordinated over similar dates to help launch this new addition to the social calendar. The Bugambilia Festival is sponsored by the Puerto Vallarta Garden Club a great organization started by the owner of the Vallarta Botanical Gardens .
The very popular Restaurant Week is always popular and we are hearing great comments in anticipation.
“We think 2013 will be a banner year,” commented Vallarta Lifestyles’ Paco Ojeda, who, along with Juan Pablo Hernández, oversees the production of the annual event. “Now more than ever, visitors and locals seem to be truly looking for great opportunities, so we are hoping that a new crop of restaurants will join those that have participated successfully in years past.”
Participating restaurants offer innovative three-course menus, with three options available for each course. Since the prices are often discounted by up to 50%, dining out during Restaurant Week is not only more fun, but also much more affordable. Presently, participating restaurants can choose to offer their special, Restaurant Week menu at $189 or $299 pesos per person, tips and beverages not included.
If you are considering a trip to Puerto Vallarta in May, and would like to get an idea of what to expect, feel free to browse last year’s Restaurant Week menu guide, featuring menus for all the restaurants that participated in 2012.
Restaurant owners considering participation in this year’s event can browse through our Frequently Asked Questions document to find out all the requirements, and have until March 10 to sign up. For questions or additional information, please email restaurantweek@mexmags.com.
