The world’s best spot for a selfie
Selfie fans should head to Norway’s Trolltunga, because it’s the ‘most stunning place in the world’ to take a picture of yourself, according to Buzzfeed website. The natural wonder is one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions; literally meaning ‘troll’s tongue’, the rock sticks out 700m above Ringedalsvatnet lake in Hordaland, and has no safety barriers. Winning design for Warsaw WWII monument announced
The winning design for a new WWII monument in Warsaw has been announced. The monument will be a ‘large, curling ribbon-like construction’ displaying the names of Poles who saved the lives of Jews during WWII. The judges were drawn to the ideas the designers conveyed, and the impact the structure will have on the city’s Plac Grzybowski, where it’s to be erected. Read more:

European tree of 2014 comes from Bulgaria
The European Parliament has announced the winner of an EU-wide poll for the European Tree of the Year. The winner is the 1100-year-old Old Elm from the city of Sliven, Bulgaria. The contestants were trees from nine different countries in Europe. Read more:

Exhibition of contemporary Yugoslav art opens in Belgrade
An exhibition of works from the collection of Belgrade’s Museum of Contemporary Art – closed for reconstruction work for the last seven years – opens on 29 March at the Museum of Yugoslav History. The exhibition, featuring 100 works of Yugoslav art from 1900 to 1945, will last until 18 May. Read more:
