Iberia pilots’ strike threat averted
Pilots for the Spanish airline Iberia have agreed to a pay cut without pursuing industrial action. Sepla, the Spanish pilot’s union and International Airlines Group, which owns British Airways as well as Iberia, have accepted last year’s 14% pay cut on condition of a freeze until 2015. IAG boss Willie Walsh hopes that the deal will save the embattled airline. Read more: theguardian.com
More storms on the way for Brittany
Following the recent devastating storms, Brittany is yet again set to expect more extreme weather as storm Ulla heads its way on Friday afternoon. Winds of around 130km/h are expected, with the bay of Morlaix to be the hardest hit area. Read more: thelocal.fr
Turkey counts down to e-visa
Travellers to Turkey will be required to present an e-Visa upon arrival from 11 April. In order to obtain an e-Visa travellers will need a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months, a flight (or any other means of transportation) reservation and a credit card. During the transition period (now until 10 April), visitors without an e-Visa will be able to purchase them from interactive kiosks located at Turkish airports. Read more: evisa.gov.tr
