Le Bistro Jazz Café reopens after being closed for several years. This popular Puerto Vallarta Icon was so popular at one time that people often waited 2 ½ hours for dinner. The elegant décor, fabulous Jazz music and sophisticated atmosphere made it a must do. If you walk by the restaurant these days you will hear the optimistic sound of polishing and sanding as workers prepare for the reopening. Who is the man behind this reawakening? His name is Ken Sales, a man with several local business interests who as he says “enjoys a project”. The restaurant itself will not need too much work, it is the style, the constant attention to detail that would be a challenge. Fresh flowers all the time, immaculate presentation and constant attention to every detail. Le Bistro opened in 1982 as a small 6 table true “Bistro” and very rapidly grew to the size it is now, popular for breakfast, lunch and Dinner. The original partners Roberto Cuevas & Humberto Esparza were the only staff to begin with and worked very hard, they soon began to enlarge the restaurant and later were the founders who opened Café des Artistes with Chef Thierry who purchased the restaurant and is now the owner of Café Des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta, not connected to the famous Café Des Artistes in New York

Le Bistro is located on the Isla Rio Cuale just inland from the Insurgentes street bridge. It will soon be refreshest as the famous local icon it once was. The founders and previous owners were known for more then the fabulous restaurant, as well they developed the gardens and John Houston park in that part of the Isla, as well as throwing lavish fund raising parties every New Years eve to raise money and by toys for the poor children of Puerto Vallarta .
